- תכליתו של עתיד מושלם ממושך הינה להתייחס לתוצאה או מצב נתון בעתיד מפעולה שמקורה בזמן מוקדם יותר. עתיד מושלם ממושך מחבר בין נקודת זמן מוגדרת בעתיד וזמן מוקדם יותר.
- By the end of this year, I will have been working for this company for 3 years - הדובר בא לומר שיהיה מנוסה או ידע הרבה לגביי החברה בנקודת זמן זו בעתיד או יהיה מעוניין להחליף תפקיד אולי. הועבד ישלים 3 שנות עבודה מההווה עד נקודת זמן בעתיד - סוף שנה זו. (חיברנו בין זמן מוקדם יותר לבין נקודת זמן מוגדרת בעתיד.)
מתי נשתמש ב-Future Perfect Progressive + דוגמאות:
- פעילות ממושכת בעלת תוצאה בנקודת זמן בעתיד.
- כמה זמן פעילות תתרחש עד לנקודת זמן בעתיד.

עתיד מושלם ממושך חוקים:
- נוסחא לבניית משפטיים חיוביים: Subject + will + have + been + verb.ing
- נשתמש ב-won’t have כדי לבנות משפטי שלילה (ראו טבלה למעלה)
- נשתמש ב-will have כדי לבנות שאלות. (ראו טבלה למעלה)
- לא נשתמש בדרך כלל בפעלים כגון: understand, own, dis(like), belong, know שמתארים מצבים בלתי משתנים. (I will have been owning a big care = שגיאה.)
